OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR BOAT WEEKEND 820
 
1. Destination of the Yacht
 
1.1. The rented yachts are intended only for tourist purposes and for water tourism on the Żuławy Loop and Elbląg Canal routes, excluding the reservoirs included in the Detailed Conditions of the Charter Agreement.
 
1.2. Sailing is only permitted during the daytime.
 
1.3. The yacht may be run by a person trained in its service.
 
1.4. The helmsman may not drive the yacht under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants.
 
1.5. For safety reasons, the yacht's crew should use lifejackets on the yacht's equipment during the swim.
 
2. Receiving the yacht
 
2.1. Upon receipt of the yacht, you must have a Lease Agreement, proof of payment, document confirming your identity. Reception of the yacht and its equipment is based on the Yachts Issue and Return Protocol. Please check carefully whether the equipment listed in the report is on the yacht and whether it is technically sound. On our part, you will receive expert advice on the use of individual devices on the yacht. A lot of knowledge about the yacht's usage principles is included in this Yacht Service Manual.
 
2.2. Besides, before you get on a yacht, you should know that the yacht is not allowed:
 
2.2.1. Enter shoes with hard, damaging sole (eg shoes on the so-called stiletto),
 
2.2.2. On the yacht is strictly forbidden to smoke cigarettes and the use of other open fire (candles, gas lighting, grill) - does not apply to the built-in gas stove,
 
2.2.3. It should not be allowed to have water in the yacht's external lockers. Particular attention should be paid when washing the yacht, when it is flooded with too much water, which overflows through the outflows and floods the locker,
 
2.2.4. Do not dry clothes, underwear, etc. by hanging it around the engine.
 
2.3. During the stop of the yacht, we always care about its proper mooring and protection against damage. For this purpose, it is absolutely necessary to use the fenders provided on the yacht,
 
3. Engine operation
 
3.1. Before starting the engine, check that the throttle and the gas handle are in the neutral position,
 
3.2. Before starting the engine, check the fuel level in the tank, in the case of a small amount, add fuel. Especially when swimming on the Vistula, we should take care that the fuel does not run out. Estimated fuel consumption is approx. 3L / 1h, with average engine revolutions we will cover about 6 km. When swimming against the Vistula current one should take into account the fact that the fuel consumption will increase two times, and the distance traveled at that time will fall by half.
 
3.3. A fuse of the so-called "Skidding" on the engine's throttle, the other end should always be clipped to the hand of the helmsman,
 
3.4. Turn the big, black fuse into the "1" position,
 
3.5. Unlock the engine on the remote control (open padlock),
 
3.6. Check that the motor is in a vertical position - check visually and on the engine monitor on the tachometer. If it is raised with the "dw" button on the motor, lower it to the vertical position.
 
3.7. When trimming the engine, make sure that the engine does not hit the casing on the floor of the cockpit - it will damage the motor housing!
 
3.8. The engine is started by turning the key in the ignition,
 
3.9. Turn the key until you feel a slight resistance and wait a few seconds for the glow plugs to heat up,
 
3.10. Turn the key and start the starter. As soon as the engine starts to work - release the key,
 
3.11. While the engine is running, check the exhaust outlet with water. No water outlet with flue means no cooling. In this case, stop the engine immediately,
 
3.12. Lighting of the red lamp and the appearance of a sound signal at the ignition switch means that the engine has failed. In such cases, there is an absolute prohibition of restarting the engine and the need to immediately notify the shipowner,
 
3.13. The engine is turned off by turning the key in the ignition, emergency pulling out the skidding. After turning off the engine, the protection should be armed by pressing the lock button on the remote control (closed padlock) and switch the big, black fuse (position "0,")
 
3.14. The most common problems with starting the engine: no fuse switched, no unprotected engine, no skidding, no open vent valve, no fuel, engine running.
 
4. Maneuvers on the engine
 
4.1. Run forward and backward by moving the handle forward or backward. You should never directly switch the gear lever from, for example, "flow forward" to "flow back". Always before the maneuver, reduce the engine's revs to a minimum, put the idle "into play", and then after a pause, shift the next gear forward or backward,
 
4.2.
 
4.3. When maneuvering, especially in ports, we try not to use a large "quantity of gas". Due to the high inertia, the correct speed of the yachts reach only after a while. The use of excessive "amount of gas" by impatient sailors is often fatal, because a speeding yacht with a large mass can not be stopped in place,
 
4.4. The engine is cooled with a liquid (water), please pay attention to the proper circulation of the coolant (water) through the engine. If it is missing, turn off the engine and contact the charterer.
 
4.5. Check the motor bolt from time to time if it is accidentally wrapped with plants or other things that make it difficult to work.
 
5. Bow thruster
 
5.1. Switching on / Activating the bow thruster follows by pressing the "lower" button (located on the control panel of the bow thruster) until the LED on the button lights up.
 
5.2. The bow thruster prepared for operation is signaled by the light on the lower button.
 
5.3. Switching the bow thruster is done by pressing and holding the right / left button, depending on which direction we want to point the bow, for example: by pressing the right button, the bow of the unit is directed to the right.
 
5.4. The thruster should be used pulse, i.e. it should not work for more than 3 seconds of continuous operation, no more 4-5 such repetitions. We use a few seconds between each cycle.
 
5.5. The thruster is not a toy, it is not used to correct the course while swimming on the route, or to rotate the yacht by 360 degrees (so-called tops). We use it in maneuvers when approaching bridges and in sluice chambers.
 
5.6. Failure to follow these instructions can lead to motor overload and, at best, a blown fuse.
 
5.7. After a certain period of inactivity, the bow thruster automatically enters the sleep mode, signaling the state by flashing the LED on the bottom button (used to activate the thruster). Again, its launch requires repeating the procedure from point 5.1.
 
5.8. When using the thruster, special care should be taken to avoid seaweed or other objects in the vicinity of the thruster to block the impeller of the thruster engine, which may cause permanent damage to the thruster gears. Special attention should be paid to the bow moorings during maneuvers in the port or in the locks, so that they do not fall into the water while the rudder is in operation. Bowstring in the water is the most common cause of damage to the thruster!
 
6. Mooring
 
6.1. Rented yachts for safety reasons are moored in marinas (equipped with mooring piers), indicated on the maps and on the routes.
 
6.2. It is permitted to moor with a bow, stern or sideboard to mooring piers in accordance with good sailing practices.
 
6.3. It is essential to comply with the marina's boating commands.
 
6.4. After completing the berthing process, familiarize yourself with the applicable marina regulations.
 
6.5. Special attention should be paid when descending or entering from jetties to the yacht or vice versa, especially after rainfall. When the yacht deck or platforms are wet, the risk of slipping increases.
 
6.6. During maneuver mooring / departing from the platform, it is forbidden to expose limbs beyond the yacht's outline, jumping from the unit to the platform or vice versa.
 
6.7. After mooring the yacht, the unit should be protected against damaging the gel coat by using the reflectors on the yacht's equipment.
 
6.8. Mooring in other places only on the full responsibility of the charterer.
 
7. Locking the yacht
 
7.1. Preparation for sliding
 
7.1.1. Before the planned yacht lock-in process, please contact the lock staff by phone, inform them about the intended lock-in. You will get feedback about the conditions and you will have the gates open, so you will not have to moor directly to the dolphins in front of the lock. We advise you to contact the lock service earlier than 30 minutes before arriving at the lock. The phone list for operating the lock is on every yacht. Try to prepare the deducted coins for locking.
 
7.1.2. Before starting the sluicing process, we need to prepare fenders - for this purpose we install them on the entire length of the side, which we will directly touch the sluice wall. The fender should be suspended at such a height that it is on the "gray list of the yacht", in 1/3 of the height of the bouncer from above - applies to Weekend 820 yachts.
 
7.1.3. Before starting the sluicing process, it is necessary to prepare the flap and the bow and stern mooring. It should be checked if the mooring is not tangled, the ends of the cum should be placed on the cleats of the yacht, one on the bow cleat, the other on the stern cleat.
 
7.1.4. After entering the lock, we place mooring on the "crosses" located in the openings of the sluice walls. Warning !!! The two ends of the mooring after putting on the cross do not attach to the yacht !! One end is on the cleats, the carriage should only be postponed on the cross, the other end should be held in the hands of one of the crew members of the yacht. The transmission and attachment of all the ends of the cum during the process of sluicing, in particular pumping water out of the lock may lead to yacht damage (the cleats will be torn off).
 
7.2. Locking the yacht - during the process of sluicing, one should directly listen to the commands of the lock service staff, in case of any doubts, please ask them or ask for help. The sluice is influenced by the ignited engine, it is necessary to protect the sides of the yacht, it should be taken into account that there may be a stronger current of water in front of the gates or a gust of wind.
 
7.3. During the sluicing process, care should be taken that the limbs of the crew are not between the sluice walls and the sides of the yacht, the swinging yacht during the sluicing process can easily break the hands or legs of the crew members.
 
7.4. Only after leveling the water in the airlock relative to the river / canal and opening the gates, we can prepare for the exit from the lock, until then the yacht must absolutely be moored to the sluice walls. After getting information from a lock service worker, we are preparing to leave the lock. First, turn on the engine, then release and roll up the bow and stern mooring, we give light gas to the front, or back to the brakes, in accordance with the principles of engine operation.
 
7.5. During the inflow and outflow from the lock, special care should be taken, the yacht boards should be secured.
 
7.6. During the entire lock-in process, due to safety reasons, the yacht's crew should not leave it, in particular, climb the sliding, metal steps of the ladder mounted on the sluice wall.
 
 
 
8. Interior and Caboose
 
8.1. Caboose:
 
8.1.1. To light a gas stove:
 
8.1.1.1.1. unscrew the gas cylinder valve to the left,
 
8.1.1.1.2. unscrew the stove tap, press it and set the gas on fire,
 
8.1.1.1.3. after the gas has ignited, keep the tap pressed for a few seconds, otherwise the flame will go out,
 
8.1.1.1.4. The flame is extinguished after turning off the tap in the oven,
 
8.1.1.1.5. If you need to replace gas cylinders please remember that the thread on the gas reducer is 'left-handed',
 
8.1.1.1.6. The main valve should only be opened for the duration of the oven operation, otherwise it should be screwed on for safety reasons.
 
8.1.2. Note: under no circumstances can the stove, burners or gas reducer be opened.
 
8.1.3. It happens that during cooking something will spill and the stove will be flooded, including the interior of the burner. Do not open the burners on your own. Allow the burners to dry naturally or report a failure to the shipowner.
 
 
8.1.4. Before using water, switch on the pump with the button on the board. When you have finished using the water, the pump should be switched off immediately,
 
8.1.5. Never turn on the electric water pump with empty water tanks. "Dry" pump operation can cause permanent damage to the pump.
 
8.2. Interior:
 
 
8.2.1. Do not remove the mattresses from the inside of the yacht in order to place them, for example, on the grass, near the fire, on a wet deck, etc., and use as a place to sit,
 
8.2.2. It is forbidden to place the kapok in the external lockers of the yacht and not to use them for fun, convenience, eg bathing in the river, as a seat by the fire,
 
8.2.3. Keep the galley's plastic equipment away from the gas stove,
 
8.2.4. It is not allowed to cut on any wooden elements of the yacht - for this is the cutting board, which is included in each yacht. Lacquered wood is not the same as kitchen countertops. Slicing bread on a wooden or other yacht element can be compared to slicing bread on the car bonnet - the effect is similar,
 
8.2.5. Galley equipment (especially pots, plates, cups and other) after washing should be dried outside the yacht or wiped and then placed in cabinets inside the yacht,
 
8.2.6. When decomposing berths, be careful and do not use excessive force under any circumstances. If you do not enter the room, it means that you put it in the opposite direction or in a place that is not intended,
 
8.2.7. Never pour water from the lake into the clean water tank, rivers - pollution may damage the water pump,
 
8.2.8. During the cruise, the interior of the yacht should be regularly ventilated, and in wet and humid weather, it is advisable to place the mattresses from time to time so that the moisture under the mattresses can evaporate.
 
8.3. TV
 
8.3.1. Before starting the TV, turn on the fuses in the instrument panel to position 1.
 
8.3.2. After using the TV, switch the fuses in the instrument panel to the "0" position.
 
8.3.3. We turn on the TV with the remote control.
 
8.3.4. The TV is powered from the 12v socket, it should not be connected to the 230v socket.
 
8.3.5. If you can not turn on the TV, although the fuse is on, check the 12v socket, try to lightly press the end of the power supply in the car socket.
 
8.3.6. We connect portable memory directly to the USB extension cable.
 
8.3.7. The TV is mounted on a wall bracket.
 
8.3.8. Warning! Under no circumstances, do not turn the TV by grabbing it directly. Make a rotation by holding the tip of the wall holder directly. Breaking VESA brackets on the TV will be treated as damage to the entire TV.
 
8.3.9. The place of the TV is on the wall, it is forbidden to carry or disassemble the TV.
 
8.4. Abandoned table in the mess.
 
8.4.1. The table in the mess is mounted on a twisted metal foot.
 
8.4.2. Before leaving the table, first remove the "metal butterflies", screwed on two screws at the edge of the table, which touches the inner wall of the yacht, then unscrew the gray socket with a thread at the bottom of the white table leg.
 
8.4.3. After unscrewing the butterflies and the threaded socket, the table can be lifted gently upwards.
 
8.4.4. Under the dismantling of the table, we unscrew the white leg, then the plate itself, assemble the tables in the place of the folding seat or put in a cover.
 
8.4.5. During the process of unfolding the table, firstly fit the table leg into the socket, tighten the socket with the thread, at the very end we screw the metal butterflies.
 
8.5. Cockpit table.
 
8.5.1. The yacht is equipped with a folding table in the cockpit. To mount it, first place the table in the mess in accordance with the information given above. To unfold the table we use a white leg from the table in the mess.
 
8.5.2. We assemble a white leg in the table plate.
 
8.5.3. We assemble the table together with the mounted and tightened leg in a white nest on the floor in the cockpit.
 
8.5.4. After installation, tighten the gray threaded socket.
 
8.5.5. The table in the cockpit can lightly "rock", so be careful when eating hot meals on it.
 
9. Electric toilet
 
9.1. Use of the electric toilet.
 
9.1.1. After using the toilet, press the button located on the wall on the left side of the toilet.
 
9.1.2. The water used to flush the toilet is taken from the river, if the water does not flush it means that the water intake is clogged or the water valve is closed. Using a toilet without water can permanently damage the electric toilet.
 
9.1.3. It is allowed to put in the toilet (in small amounts) only and exclusively soluble toilet paper, dedicated to tourist toilets.
 
9.1.4. If we have to use a larger amount of special toilet paper, do the rinsing several times, too much paper can clog the toilet!
 
9.1.5. Persistent, including a clogged toilet can result in the electric motor being burnt!
 
9.2. It is forbidden to throw in the toilet any things that can clog the toilet (eg: sanitary napkins, tissues, toilet paper, condoms, food leftovers), for this purpose a garbage bin is used! Thrown in a large amount of paper / sanitary napkin can clog the toilet, pushing the toilet is a time-consuming process and difficult to implement. If the toilet is blocked due to improper use, the user will be charged for restoration costs and losses resulting from the yacht's downtime during repairs. Repair of the damaged toilet takes place only at the marina.
 
10. Anchor and Cumy
 
10.1. We only hide anchors that are not used in the FORPICAL (bow locker) or place them in holders mounted on baskets. Anchors must not be placed in other lockers because they can permanently damage the equipment inside them (eg water or fuel tanks, battery) or destroy the locker itself,
 
10.2. The lockist should be mooring after drying, if weather conditions allow,
11. Damage to the yacht
 
11.1. In the event of serious defects, breakdowns or other damage occurring during the time covered by the charter contract, the lessee is obliged to immediately notify the landlord and prepare an "emergency report" ("accident protocol") which is the basis for the landlord to apply for compensation to the insurance company. After consultation with the shipowner, the method of rectifying the defect will be determined,
 
11.2. We will always help and provide service on the trail.
 
 
 
11.3. You must not make decisions on your own, for example on how to repair the boat's shell or other serious damage,
 
11.4. Without the consent of the lessor, the tenant can not make changes to the yacht's equipment and construction,
 
11.5. In the case of losing or destroying the yacht equipment, you can supplement it on your own, but remember that it must be of the same type, size, color, brand and class, so that the yacht equipment is uniform and of good quality. For example, you can not replace a lost large reflector with a small one.
 
 
 
12. Care for the environment, using the toilet and sink.
 
12.1. Regardless of the type of toilet that was installed on the yacht, Charterer undertakes to use the toilet in accordance with the applicable regulations, and in particular in accordance with the provisions on environmental protection and assumes full responsibility on this account,
 
12.2. No papers (even soluble) and other personal hygiene items may be thrown into the toilet,
 
12.3. Under no circumstances can empty containers be removed from chemical toilets to the river or lake. In each port you will find a place adapted for this purpose,
 
12.4. While washing the yacht, use detergents sparingly. The best solution is to use special means for such applications that have a minimal impact on the natural environment,
 
12.5. It is not allowed to pollute rivers by throwing cans, bottles, cigarette butts and many other things into them. For example, one cigarette tip thrown into a river / lake causes contamination of about one cubic meter of water. Before going on a cruise, do not forget to stock up on trash bags,
 
12.6. Pay special attention when refueling so as not to spill it into the water,
 
12.7. Outflows from sinks and sinks located on the yacht have their outlet over the side of the yacht. Therefore, due to the protection of the environment, it is not recommended to wash dishes using a yacht-mounted sink. It will be better, faster and faster when we use specially designated places in ports for this purpose.
 
13. Before the yacht's opinion
 
13.1. Due to the fact that cleaning the yacht after the cruise does not belong to pleasant activities and not everyone has to feel like it, you can order cleaning the yacht (price list of services). Otherwise, the yacht should be prepared in the right way for the sentence:
 
13.1.1. Look carefully if we took all our stuff from the yacht,
 
13.1.2. Mattresses should be put on the edge and all the gaps of the yacht should be opened (if the weather permits),
 
13.1.3. We clean the yacht with special attention to the swallows, bakist, koi and we wash the floor. When cleaning, we try not to use too much water. A brush, scoop and a damp cloth are enough to get rid of sand and other impurities from the berth, the locker or other corners of the yacht,
 
13.1.4. We wash the outside tanker and choose water from them and wash the deck,
 
13.1.5. We empty the water tank,
 
13.1.6. We empty the lower faecal tank and wash the entire chemical toilet,
 
13.1.7. We wash the galley equipment (pots, plates, glasses, cutlery, etc.) and leave them outside the yacht so that they can dry (if the weather permits),
 
13.1.8. We hang wet moors outside to dry (if weather permits),
 
13.2. The average time spent by the crew on yacht cleansing is about 2-3 hours. This time should be taken into account when planning the time at which the yacht should be returned to the shipowner. When the yacht is already cleared, please prepare the documents - charter agreement and delivery-acceptance protocol and notify the shipowner.
 
 
 
14. Final remarks
 
14.1. This guide has been written in terms of applied technical solutions, devices and patents posted on yachts of iczarter.pl and on the basis of many years of observation and own experience. This guide should not be treated as just and just source of knowledge. On a yacht, in many situations one should be guided by sailing experience, logic and common sense.
