The Oleśnica ramp is the middle ramp of the Elbląg Canal, the third counting from the Iławski Lake District and the third counting from the Elbląg side. It is located at 41 + 600 - 42 + 000 km. The Elbląg Canal.
 
The Oleśnica Slope is a typical ramp of the Elbląg Canal, i.e. it is driven by a water wheel, guided in a straight line consistent with the channel route line, two parallel tracks run on the slipway between the upper and lower pitches, on which the bogies move in opposite directions. The trolleys are connected by a steel rope and are pulled between the upper and the lower position with the use of a jersey. The rope is wound on the drum of the machine, which draws energy from water propulsion.
